Sometimes, precuts are totally the way to go!

I love a jelly roll. They always look so fun all rolled up, and that little, versatile strip of every fabric in a collection is simply perfect. Plus, the price point is unbeatable. So much more affordable than a fat quarter bundle!! The only problem? Like many others, I often struggle to decide what to actually make with a jelly roll.

I designed Static to showcase a jelly roll from the Hello, Alice collection. At first, this fabric line was one I could easily overlook. I love Alice in Wonderland, (who doesn’t?) but I never felt that I would need to make an Alice-themed quilt. That changed when I saw the collection at QuiltCon; the idea of a quilt stayed with me. Inspired, I created Static specifically to highlight this jelly roll.
Funny side story: I THOUGHT I bought a jelly roll at Quilt Con. Turns out I just got a charm pack but already made a plan for the jelly roll so I had to purchase one to make this quilt I couldn’t stop thinking about.

Static uses an entire jelly roll, a charm pack and minimal yardage to make a very generous sized quilt. It comes together very quickly and is perfect for someone needing a quick finish, or for a beginner.

If you too have a jelly roll sitting around, not knowing what to do with it, Static is available in the shop for instant download. It comes with full color diagrams and layout guide to help you along your way. If you make one, I would love to see it!!

Also, that jelly roll from quilt con that I thought I bought….turns out I did buy one, it just wasn’t Hello Alice, it was Catnap. So now I need to make another jelly roll quilt!!
