Sometimes even pattern designers, and long time quilters just like to mindlessly put together a quilt kit. I came across this kit from Hancocks of Paducah and knew that this would make such a great fall flowers quilt. Forgive me, I can’t find the receipt, and the kit is no longer available. I cannot remember what the pattern it was based on was called.

The entire quilt is made with Ruby Star Society fabrics: Favorite Flowers for the squares and backing, the black is Speckled and the binding is Starry.

And of course I needed to add one of my Sarah Hearts labels on the back!

I took this quilt as an opportunity to work on some of my long arm ruler work. There were spots that I got myself stuck for sure, and some of my lines aren’t the straightest. If I were to quilt it again, I wouldn’t have done what I did, but I still love it. I’m excited to see what it looks like once washed and the stitches are all settled and it gets that beautiful quilt crinkle!!
