Sorcha PDF Downloadable Quilt Pattern

The PDF pattern for Sorcha is out now. I’ve shared with you all in the previous post about the why I made this quilt, but now it’s time to share with the quilters out there the details of the pattern!

The PDF is complete with written and diagrams to try and make assembly a frustration free experience for all kinds of learners.

It’s possible to make the quilt with zero repeats. If you choose to make no repeats with fat quarters, you will have a bit of fabric left over (never a bad problem to gain some scraps with a quilt to make a bonus quilt!). Sorcha would also be a great scrappy quilt to clean out the basket since there’s not a lot needed for each layer of star, especially if you wanted a no repeat version!

I used a fat quarter bundle of Darlings 2 to make the cover quilt. The black fat quarters were used for the black tile pieces. I didn’t use every print in the bundle. So one bundle goes a long way with this pattern!!

This one was free motion quilted by me on my long arm machine with all over swirls in squares.

Thank you for supporting KD Quilts. It means the world to me!! If you make a Sorcha of your own, I would love to see it!! Tag me on instagram @kd_quilts or use the #sorchaquilt to share. Can’t wait to see your creativity shine!!
