I love me a Halloween quilt! I think I have more Halloween quilts than I do for any other holiday. I wasn’t going to make one this year, but when WoolyPetals announced a sew along with her Ghost Party Quilt pattern, I knew I wouldn’t resist. I mean, who says no to a great party, ESPECIALLY a Halloween party?!

Nova Quilts then sweetened the deal showing up with a super fun bundle that coordinated with last years Halloween quilt.

So at this point, I knew I was going to have a new quilt to snuggle up under this fall.
It’s been a while since I did a large sew along, back when I was consistantly participating and hosting it was still called a quilt a long! I participated in the RSS spring sew along, but that was completed so quickly, that I finished it in a few days. This was set up over 5 weeks, and I utilized those weeks so I could work it into other obligations. WoolyPetals and CoolPeopleQuilt did a beautiful job with engaging participants and sharing progress pictures that people have tagged. It was really fun to see all of the different ghosts!

I finished it I the night before we left for our annual fall friend trip. And good thing I did too because it was actually freezing and I needed every bit of warmth I could get sitting outside! Plus, I hired my husband to be my photographer and didn’t he do an amazing job! I mean, of course the quilt is the star of the show, and the scenery was perfect so he really had a lot of good working on his side. (I kid, he’s actually way better at taking pictures than I am, and I wish I could convince him to take all of my pictures!)

These ghosts have made me so happy this fall. This is another one that I’m tempted to leave out all year, just like last years!

Also, this is the last personal quilt that I will ever quilt on my domestic machine. Next week I have a really exciting (to me) series to share with you all on an adventure that was 12 years in the making, and the plan was really all in ever since June.
October is shaping up very Boo-tifully!
